Puppy Supplies
Below you will find products we recommend and use for our puppies. You do not need to purchase these exact items, but this list will provide a general idea of the things you will need to have when you bring your puppy home.
At Home
-
Dog Crate WITH Divider
A 42 or 48 inch crate will keep your puppy (and your home) safe overnight and while you are away. Use the divider to change the amount of space puppy has access to as they get older.
-
Dog Bed
A dog bed can provide many health, comfort and training benefits for your puppy. We recommend getting a dog bed with a removable cover that can be washed.
-
Puppy Pads
Puppy’s are incapable of developing bladder control until about 16 weeks of age. While we do our best to encourage potty training, your puppy will likely have accidents. Puppy Pads provide and safe, mess free place when your puppy just can’t hold it.
-
Play Pen
Play pens are a great tool to use for playtime when puppy is not able to be directly supervised.
-
Washable Pee Pad
Washable pee pads can be used in play pens and kennels to contain accidents. They can also be used to protect furniture.
-
Stain Remover
Use a high quality stain remover to clean puppy accidents out of floors and furniture.
Collars, Leashes & Harnesses
-
Reflective Dog Collar
Any dog collar with a neck circumference of about 8-13 inches should fit your puppy for the first few months.
*consider a reflective dog collar for night walks
-
Soft Dog Collar

-
Reflective Dog Collar & Leash
Any dog collar with a neck circumference of about 8-13 inches should fit your puppy for the first few months.

-
2 Handle Dog Leash
A 2 handle dog leash enables you to have superior control of your puppy. Hold the furthest handle for casual walks and both handles to keep puppy close while going through busy areas.
-
Harness
Harnesses can be a great alternative to collars, especially if your puppy likes to pull on the leash. They reduce neck strain and can provide more control.

Keep your floors clean by putting food and water bowls onto a food mat.
Grooming
-
Shampoo and Conditioner
Bathe your puppy every 6-8 weeks (or when needed) to keep fur fresh and odor free. Avoid unnecessary baths less than 6 weeks apart as this can strip their coat of essential oils.
-
Slicker Brush
A slicker brush is essential for maintaining your puppy’s coat, helping remove mats and tangles.
-
Grooming Scissors
A variety pack of grooming scissors will help keep puppy’s fur kept between groomings.
-
Dog Clippers
Dog clippers can be used between grooming appointments to clean up puppy’s fur.
